R&R makes vision fixturing faster than ever before with our interchangeable vision frame and subplates. Easily switching subplates in and out of the frame eliminates down time and allows continuous inspection and repeatability on your vision machine. Our interchangeable vision fixture is ideal for machines 400 x 400 or larger because subplates can be designed to use all, 1/2, 1/4, or 1/8 of the frame's total size. If need be, the glass on your stage can still be utilized easily just by pulling each subplate up by its handles.
Our anodize aluminum* frame is made to fit your specific vision machine. It is usually the size of the stage (allowing for the mounting of your probe rack and calibration artifacts, as needed). Subplates load into the frame in a repeatable position each time. *black oxide finish optional
Modular and Custom SubplatesInterchangeable subplates can be modular with M4 or 1/4-20 threaded holes (10mm or 1/2" on center) or we can design and build a custom fixture for your parts. A combination of both modular and custom subplates can be made to fit the same frame, allowing you the most flexibility. Our engineers, with their knowledge and experience of backlighting and touch probes, can build you an economical custom fixture in a short period of time.
Subplates can be different sizes, depending on the size of your frame, the size of your parts and how many parts you are inspecting, giving you the greatest fixturing flexibility possible for your machine. Subplates can easily be set aside for future inspections. We realize that not all parts are created equal and they can't all be fixtured the same way either.
Our Quick Load Corner uses magnets to make its acrylic subplates snap quickly into position.
