Problem Solvers
Our experience with Renishaw and Zeiss probing systems as well as backlighting with vision systems enable us to design and build fixtures that will be correct the first time. When it comes to probe clearances and accessing the part in the most efficient way without over-fixturing the part, our expertise shows.

Rigid, Lightweight
If the weight of fixturing is an issue, we can design and build fixtures with our aluminum XTensions. While very rigid and accurate, these lightweight extrusions are ideal when parts are large and a person needs to move the fixtures on and off the CMM. 16-piece fixture that accommodates different diameters and lengths of shafts using clamps and a locating stop.	Multiple station fixture that holds tapered parts down against stops with a push clamp.	Fixture to hold two families of parts with hold down spring clamp to allow for different thickness.
Fixture to hold 8 parts at a time with 3-jaw chucks that can hold parts on the inside or outside dia. ranging from .25mm to 2.25 inches.	Interchangeable base plates that mount within aluminum frame on stage.	Part held vertically with minimum contact on the part for almost complete access around the part (same setup on opposite side).
Large part to be held and restrained against datums, using our lightweight frame XTensions.	This large fixture needed to accommodate different parts and be light weight and rigid. This was accomplished by use of our XTensions and custom details and clamping.	Multiple station fixture that accommodates a wide range of diameters. The bars can be moved to change between two different groups of parts.
Two station fixture for production cell CMM.	Fixture for a machined part that was required to be open as much as possible and up off the base plate for scanning measurements.	The part was fixtured vertically to allow access to both sides.
This fixture accommodates a family of different parts and needed to restrain them flat.	This fixture restrained and clamped a sheet metal part into position.	This fixture was designed with our XTensions and utilized magnets to hold the part in place.
This fixture was designed with our XTensions and utilized magnets and an upright support element w/ clamps to hold the part in a repeatable position.	Accommodates four different parts with minimal change over. Clamps were designed specifically for this application along with our XTensions for the base.	This shows the same fixture shown on left reconfigured for one of the other parts.

In-House Design
Our in-house design engineering staff will work with you and our sales team to first concept and then fully design the best fixture for your application.

The most current CAD software is utilized for design and engineering by our staff. Most all CAD formats are supported (ex: IGES, STEP, SAT, CATIA).

Sample 3: A fixture that would stay on the CMM and was designed with three shelves that accommodated different parts. Each fixture was pulled out when in use.
